SAMSUNG OFFERS NEW SUPER-LUXURY PHONE

Samsung Electronics said yesterday it will release a new fashion mobile phone, "Serenata," in partnership with Bang & Olufsen.

It is the second time that Samsung has joined hands with the Danish audio specialist, as part of its efforts to expand its super-luxury handset market. Their first product, the "Serene" phone, was produced in 2005. The Serene model costs about $1200, according to online shopping malls.

Serenata phone is expected to be out Oct. 1, according to its promotion homepage (www.serenatamobile.com). The website does not provide a photo or any details of the mobile phone's specification.

Some articles posted on the internet say that the new product uses a touch-screen, like LG's Prada phone. They say it supports up to 4G memory for large music files like MP3 and MPEG4 and has a scroll wheel like Apple's iPod.

Bang & Olufsen is famous for super-luxury audio stereos, adopting cutting edge design and function.

the design with the Samsung F310 is also quite strange. The scrollwheel with which the device is used is placed at the top of the device and due to this, the display has found its spot at the bottom of the phone. This was not seen with any former phone in the world.

The Samsung F310 is the second exclusive phone in the Bang & Olufsen range and due to this it will not become one of the cheapest phones. This time, Samsung focusses on the musiclover with a wel-filled wallet with the Bang & Olfusen device. The internal memory of four gigabyte and a musicplayer with a handy "Apple-like" scrollwheel offer a delightful and easy musical experience.

The Samsung F310 can be slid open just as every other slider. In this case, the back of the device is moved upwards instead of downwards and a large speaker is revealed with this.
